JM_photo_FreedI am an Assistant Professor of Health Policy in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University. I earned my PhD in Economics from Vanderbilt University in May 2018 and completed a postdoc at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to my tenure at GWU, I was a Health Policy Fellow at the National Pharmaceutical Council and Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy.

I evaluate policy-relevant questions focusing on health insurance and health care access from the provider perspective. My research agenda focuses on detailing and quantifying the effectiveness of innovative care delivery methods in advancing the field toward equitable healthcare access.
